I am having a lobectomy and wedge resection and would like to know others' experience in long, how painful, what was it like for you/your loved one?  I am tired of hearing "everyone's recovery is different" - I realize that, but would like to hear how others took it.  I also would like to know what helped with the pain...besides drugs...laying flat, wedge...

My husband should be on oxygen 24/7.  In the past he has not used the oxygen as often as he should.  However he had a major event Monday that put him in the hospital.  We are now home and the only solutions our oxygen provider, Lincare, has given us for 24 hours is the concentrator.  It is LOUD!.  Please tell me there are other solutions.  We can barely hear ourselves...

July of this year, I was diagnosed with COPD.  I have smoked forever...I just went 8 days smoke free...and smoked 2 cigarettes today.  I'm trying not to be down on myself.  This is hard core stuff here.  I'm not use to NOT smoking.  Prayers and suggestions are greatly appreciated.  My husband took the diagnosis harder than I did.  I have to believe God...
